What is crash-data removal and why is it so important?
If the airbag system is triggered, a special crash record is automatically recorded in the control unit.
According to the manufacturers, after a crash, the device must be replaced with a new one, so the crash data blocks its continued operation, even if the system itself is intact and can function perfectly. Removing crash-data at software level is difficult; not every technician is up to the task. However, this does not mean that the accident data cannot be removed.
